A Dog’s At “Steak” at Plaza III’s Oct. 4th Humane Society Event Jacksonville, FL (September 15, 2007) Jacksonville, FL (September 15, 2007) – Plaza III, The Steakhouse is inviting animal lovers to dine from 11:30 a.m. until closing on Thursday, October 4 as part of an all-day fundraiser to benefit the Jacksonville Humane Society.   “We’re inviting all animal lovers to come down and join us for a fun day at Plaza III,” said co-owner Linda McLean.  “We’ll have dog treats and toys for guests to take back home to their pets, or they can bring their dogs to dine on our outside patio.”   Guests bringing their “socialized” pets for lunch or dinner will need to make their reservations ahead of time. Plaza III will be collecting much-needed items for adoptions. Guests who bring hard rubber and raw hide toys, strong leashes, and ceramic or metal dog bowls to donate to the Jacksonville Humane Society will receive a special treat from Plaza III.   Representatives from Petco will also be on hand to give dog grooming tips during the day.   Plaza III will feature a Bone-in Rib Eye Dinner, with salad, side item, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage, specially priced at $39 during the event, along with specially-priced $4 glasses of red or white wine available, thanks to a donation by Premier Beverage Distributors.   Plaza III hopes to raise more than $3,000 to help the Jacksonville Humane Society as it continues recovering from a devastating fire earlier this year.  Also, the event coincides with the American Humane’s “Adopt a Dog Month” set for October.   Locally owned and operated by restaurant entrepreneurs J.
